Earthway Experience is an Permaculture Demonstration & Learning Center. Experience our unique location directly on Lake Siljan, which has been called “the most beautiful lake in all of Europe".
We are looking for hard working , community minded individuals who are looking to expand their life experiences with something different and fun. If you would like to be a part of the exceptional Earthway Experience and see it from the beginning - then this is for you! !
Our Center includes a forest garden, annual garden & other raised bed garden areas(no till farming) , outdoor kitchen, 2 herb spirals,
food preservation (drying, smoking, fermenting), mushroom cultivation, bee keeping, natural building projects, worm bins, chicken tractors, green house (to be built), alternative energy, rain water catchments.
This is a great opportunity to gain new knowledge and make new friends while spending lots of time in nature.
This is what we can offer at the moment, in the future we would like to build a sort of bunk house.
Positions are from June 1 to the end of September. This year I'd like to have several who stay for longer periods to really Experience the Earthway.
What to Expect this Summer
We will be planting fruit trees, food plants as well as medicinal plants.
Wood cutting and splitting.
This summer we will have several more small building projects.
Will be working on compost systems and making our soil better.
We have several rabbits who need daily care.
We may have chickens again this summer as well...I hope so.
You will need to provide your own your own tent but we have cots to sleep on with pads and warm sleeping bags.
We cook as a group , lots of fun!
Lake
We live right by a lake and this is were we will be cleaning ourselves on the warmer days.
Sauna for Cleaning
There is a sauna that we will fire up on those little colder days. This is the traditional way of keeping clean in Sweden. We have a very nice outdoor shower as well with lots of wood fired hot water
An overview of the area
Everybody needs to get away sometimes, even though your probably not going to get enough of all the fantastic work, we will drag you from your project if we have to! We want to be sure that you have time to do things in the area.

Lake - for fun, fishing, canoeing & swimming (100m)
Abundance of forests in the surrounding area
Mora is the clostest with Train station - 10 km
Bikes to borrow
