Become an

Intern with Earthway Experience

We are a Permaculture Demonstration & Learning Center.

Last Summer we built a log sauna house, finished the outside kitchen and build an outside shower (a very nice one the interns say!) We built several more raised bed for growing and had sheep help in clearing some land.
This summer we will be finishing the inside of the sauna as well as doing some more small building projects as well as expanding our growing area.

We have no electricity or running water in the area, except for the stream running through the area! We have solar panels and are planning on using wind power as well.

We are looking for hard working , community minded individuals who are looking to expand their life experiences with something different and fun. If you would like to be a part of the exceptional Earthway Experience and see it from the beginning - then this is for you! !

What to Expect

Building raised beds for we will be starting to extensively permaculture our land. We will be planting fruit trees, food plants as well as medicinal plants.

Other items to be done as well.

There is an outdoor kitchen for cooking as well as an outdoor cooking “eldstad”.

We have a 20 foot (6 meter) Tipi - This will be our meeting/eating area.

You will need to provide your own your own tent but we have cots to sleep on with pads and warm sleeping bags.

The Intern/Volunteers will be responsible for cooking themselves - as a group , but don't worry it will be fun!

Positions are from Mid May to the end of September. Come for a week or all summer, your choice!
